INTELLECTUAL FIREPOWER
"To encourage literature and the arts is a duty
which every good citizen owes to his country." - George Washington
It seems to me, lately...
That my being is an urban street of windswept debris;
I medicate myself in a state of melancholy,
As I stroll around the ancient city of a skull.
I meditate upon a transit scene of skullduggery,
Am I full of skill dug under a mostly cloudy sky?
For my part I skillfully skulk amid this drudgery,
Whilst looking at the multiplex era of line-ups multiply.
- Madison Shadwell

Recollections of Necessary Waste
"That encroachment, a daily routine has upon an individuals memory, compartmentalized in social camouflage, as the unrestricted amnesia of time and space. Pause and reflect on
the rapid expansion of vanity, which brings to mind the carelessly relaxed position; to reminisce for a minute there, may feel like an eternity." - Artist Statement
Madison Shadwell

"A painting is music you can see
and music is a painting you can hear."
- Miles Davis
